 Besides extinguishing and preventing fires, the department makes inspections in buildings that are under construction, hotels, schools and more.
The department is very proud of its band. Under the direction of Lt. Adrian Morales, the band practices twice a week and performs at all parades, civic and national affairs.
If African bees become a problem, firefighters are there to help by spraying a solution of water, diesel and soap powder.
Maintaining the equipment and eighteen fire hydrants requires daily attention
Physical training and exercize are scheduled three time a week. |
